What is Erosion?

Erosion is the action of exogenic processes (such as water flow or wind) which removes soil from one location and transports it to another. This happens all the time in nature, but in construction by removing the grass and topsoil we speed up erosion process. This means silt gets transferred to areas like creeks and ponds, roadways and park areas, thus causing damage to environmentally sensitive areas. Erosion control is intended to minimize and prevent this process from happening. Here at FCL we supply and install these measures to protect your construction site from erosion. Temporary measures are installed in order to reduce silt temporary until grass and other natural occurring root structures form.
